On-Site Pathology Services
Most clinics performing medical dermatology must rely on independent laboratories for their pathology support. However, the Kansas City Skin & Cancer Center has a pathology lab on-site. This means we can provide you with an accurate diagnosis and begin treatment faster than any other clinic in Kansas City.
Dr. Kimberly Schoofs, a board-certified dermatopathologist, combines her expertise as a clinician who sees patients and a pathologist who can evaluate and diagnose specimens under a microscope. Dr. Schoofs is able to correlate changes in a patient’s skin, lesions, or rashes on a microscopic level to provide the most accurate diagnosis possible.
