Patients will have downtime of roughly 1-3 days and can expect the top layer of their skin to flake and shed over that period. Some patients experience mild redness and swelling similar to a sunburn sensation and tightness of the skin. This should clear up within 8 hours.

Most patients only need 1 NanoLaserPeel treatment. Typically, it is ideal for those looking for a light peel or touch-up routinely for enhanced skin maintenance patients cannot achieve at home. Depending on your skin’s unique needs and specific concerns, your provider can make recommendations for how and when to receive your next NanoLaserPeel treatment.
Patients notice results within 1 week after their first treatment and may opt for additional treatments after that.
Answering whether the NanoLaserPeel hurts can be tricky because every patient has a different tolerance for discomfort. For most patients, the NanoLaserPeel is very tolerable, but you can choose to receive a topical numbing cream before treatment.
If you are concerned about the comfort of your procedure, you may also elect to take acetaminophen or ibuprofen before you arrive for your appointment.
The results last multiple weeks after you receive your NanoLaserPeel! Some patients notice continual improvement after treatment, especially when combined with deeper-reaching laser or light treatments. However, depending on your unique needs and timeline, you may elect to repeat your NanoLaserPeel as often as every 6-8 weeks.
The difference between the NanoLaserPeel & MicroLaserPeel is the treatment depth and recovery time. The NanoLaserPeel works less than 10 microns deep and the MicroLaserPeel works between 10-100 microns deep. As a result, the NanoLaserPeel recovery time is quicker than that of the MicroLaserPeel.
