Meet Dr. Newland- Starting February 1st, 2024
Dr. Meggan R. Newland is a renowned dermatologist and the winner for Best Dermatologist 2023 by The Pitch of Kansas City. With over 16 years of experience, she has dedicated her career to providing exceptional care and improving the skin health of her patients.
Raised in Altus, Oklahoma, Dr. Newland graduated Valedictorian of Altus High School. Her educational journey continued at the University of Notre Dame, where she excelled academically and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She then pursued her medical degree, earning her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami, Florida.
After completing her medical degree, Dr. Newland trained for a year in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Miami Beach Hospital then pursed a research fellowship in wound healing at University of Miami’s Dr. Phillip Frost Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery where she continued on for her dermatology residency.
Throughout her career, Dr. Newland has published numerous research papers in reputable medical journals and has presented at both national and international academic conferences. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and is a board-certified dermatologist. She practices medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Newland enjoys spending time with her husband, family, reading, food, fitness, and supporting the Kansas City community.
