Biography

Meet Jessica

Jessica Muelleman is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She previously practiced Dermatology in rural central Missouri, and is excited to join Kansas City Skin and Cancer Center in her native Kansas City. She completed her undergraduate in Nursing Science at Rockhurst University with honors, and earned her Master’s in Nursing with the University of Central Missouri with honors. Prior to practicing Dermatology, she specialized in Cardiology and Critical Care. She has been an active member of both Kansas and Missouri chapters of the respective Dermatology Societies, as well as an active member of the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners.

Jessica’s practice is patient-centered and well versed in medical dermatology for all ages, including comprehensive skin cancer screenings, acne treatment, rashes, hidradenitis suppurativa, eczema, psoriasis, hair loss, and many other dermatologic problems. She stays up to date on the latest evidence-based dermatology practices, and attends academic Dermatology conferences several times a year for ongoing education. Jessica enjoys teaching patients about their specific disease process and assures they understand their treatment plans by using shared-decision making care models.
Outside of work Jessica’s focus is family, and she enjoys spending time with her husband and son. She also enjoys a frequent spin on her road bicycle, yoga class, travelling with her family, or checking out a new local restaurant.
