Biography
Meet Dr. Ochoa
Dr. Emily Ochoa has been practicing in Kansas City for over a decade and is thrilled to join the skin care experts at Kansas City Skin and Cancer Center. She has built her practice on giving respectful, comprehensive dermatology care to the Kansas City community. Beyond identifying skin cancer and treating conditions of the skin, Dr. Ochoa enjoys educating her patients about proactive and preventive skin care. Dr. Ochoa also practices dermatology surgery with removal of skin cancer and addresses cosmetic concerns of her patients through skin care, neurotoxins, cosmetic fillers, and laser technology.
A South Dakota native, Dr. Ochoa graduated Suma Cum Laude with a bachelor’s in chemistry from the University of South Dakota. She then attended the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine where she was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honors society and subsequently graduated Suma Cum Laude. Dr. Ochoa completed her dermatology training at the University of Kansas and was Chief Resident during her final year. She is board certified Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
When not practicing dermatology, Dr. Ochoa enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and exploring the outdoors.
