BBL Photofacial in Kansas City

Illuminate Your Skin

BBL Photofacial in Kansas City

Beautiful Skin From Head to Toe

BroadBand Light (BBL) is the most powerful and precision-guided IPL (Intense Pulse Light) available. This type of technology is also commonly known as Fotofacial or Photofacial.

Using BBL Photofacial in Kansas City has an amazingly effective technology to improve brown spots, “broken capillaries,” angiomas, and other pigment irregularities. Skin is much more supple and smooth with an illumination of light that occurs on the surface for an unmistakable brightness. Female patients commonly find that they either begin forgetting to use their powder or foundation or use much less of it as a result of the natural beauty and radiance of their skin after BBL.

Consultation

Consultations are where the Kansas City Skin & Cancer Center team truly gets to know you. We’ll listen to your concerns, assess the current condition of your skin, and work with you to determine a treatment plan that fits your lifestyle and budget.

Prep

We will cleanse the treatment area and mark any areas your provider should avoid during treatment (a mole, permanent makeup, tattoos, etc.). Then we’ll put on protective eyewear, and our technician will apply a clear ultrasound gel to the treatment area to protect your skin.

Targeted Laser Treatment

The BBL Photofacial device will work from one zone to the next, thoroughly treating each area. On your face, for instance, your provider will shift the handpiece over your face, targeting the forehead, nose, upper lip, and then chin. The duration of this step will depend upon the areas being treated.

Next Steps

Once the treatment is completed, your provider will remove your eyewear and ultrasound gel, and then apply and then apply post-care creams and sunscreen. We want to thoroughly protect your skin post-treatment. Once you’re done, we’ll have a follow-up discussion to review any additional concerns, questions, and post-care.
