Meet Dr. Ravis

Born and raised in Kansas City, Dr. Scott Ravis has practiced dermatology in the Kansas City metro area for the last 18 years. He earned his undergraduate degree in Pharmacy from the University of Kansas. He then attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine, graduating with honors as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. Subsequently, he served his dermatology residency at the University of Miami. Following his residency, Dr. Ravis completed a fellowship in dermatopathology at the University of Indiana.

Dr. Ravis’s work as a dermatopathologist provides him with the expertise of both a clinician who treats patients and a pathologist who evaluates and diagnoses specimens under a microscope. Dr. Ravis’s dual training is an invaluable tool for treating patients because it allows him to correlate the changes in a patient’s skin microscopically with the patient’s lesion or rash as detected on physical examination, to render the most accurate diagnosis. This is especially important in complex cases, allowing Dr. Ravis to efficiently render accurate diagnoses and develop more specific treatment protocols for his patients.
