Biography
Meet Dr. Cohen
Dr. Mark A. Cohen, a native Kansas Citian, founded Kansas City & Cancer Center in 2007 with the goal of providing the most advanced, and compassionate care to patients. Dr. Cohen is double board certified in both Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology, as well as Dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology. After graduating from The University of Kansas School of Medicine, he then completed his residency in Dermatology at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital. During his residency, he was awarded the “Outstanding Surgical Resident” award by the faculty. He subsequently completed a distinguished fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology.
Dr. Cohen has served as the director of dermatologic surgery at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He also actively teaches both medical students and residents. He is a Fellow of the American College of Mohs surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology, and his papers have been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals.
During his free time, Dr. Cohen enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and playing golf.
